Pixel pitch and viewing distance
Pixel pitch is the distance between the centres of the LEDs, measured in millimetres. A smaller pitch packs the LEDs closer together and gives a sharper image when people stand close; a larger pitch costs less and looks just as good when viewed from further away. In general terms, a wall seen at arm's length in a reception needs a much finer pitch than one seen from across a showroom floor or the back of a hall.
We start with where people will actually stand and what they will watch, then recommend a pitch that looks sharp from those positions without paying for detail no one will see.

Structure, power and mounting
LED panels are heavy, so the wall or frame behind them has to carry the load. During the survey we check the wall construction, plan a mounting frame and work out power and data routes, including front or rear access so individual panels can be serviced later. Walls can be flush-mounted into a recess, framed with a trim or built as a freestanding structure where the wall cannot take the weight.
Content that suits the wall
A video wall is often a very different shape from a normal screen, so content needs to be created at the wall's own resolution. We can advise on sizes and formats, and set up a media player and scheduling so you can change what is shown without technical help. Bright, simple visuals and short loops usually work better than dense text.

Planning a video wall project
A successful video wall starts with a clear purpose. Will it greet visitors, sell products, support presentations or set the mood in a space? The answer shapes the size, the pitch, the brightness and even the shape of the wall. We visit on a free site survey, measure the space, check sight lines from entrances and seating, and look at existing lighting that could cause reflections or glare. You then receive a design showing how the wall will sit within the room, including any surrounding trim or signage, so the screen looks built in rather than added afterwards.

What pixel pitch do I need for a video wall?
It depends on how close people will stand. The nearer the viewers, the finer the pitch needs to be for a sharp image; walls seen from a distance can use a larger pitch. We recommend a pitch after checking the viewing positions on the site survey.
Should I choose an indoor or outdoor LED video wall?
Indoor panels are designed for close viewing and controlled light; outdoor panels are weather-sealed and much brighter to compete with daylight. If the wall faces the street through a window, we will check whether a high-brightness indoor panel or an outdoor-rated panel is the better choice.
